The Gospel of John

If you haven’t seen this yet, by all means check it out.

The best movie portrayal of Jesus, ever. The 3 hour version is the one you need. The narration and dialog is word-for-word from the Good News translation of the Gospel of John.

Netflix has it for streaming.

I cannot say enough about this movie, so I’ll try not to say much.

The “finding” of Phillip was great. The raising of Lazarus can break a strong man down. I never really understood the talk with the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s Well as clearly as this movie was able to make it.

All I can figure, is that they saved so much on the script writing, they got the best cast they could afford.
For Christian cinema, this is about as good as it gets.
